Ever wanted to learn a new craft skill, well here is your opportunity. Renowned glass designer Natasha Duddy celebrates 19 years in business working with the medium of glass and teaching her skills to others. These four week evening classes will introduce you to the amazing qualities and possibilities of fused glass. After a brief health and safety talk in week one, Natasha will provide supervised, individual glass cutting demonstrations. These classes are aimed at both beginners and intermediate level. Allowing beginners to learn the new skill, while those who have participated before, can continue to develop their skills on more advanced projects. Students will explore design, pattern and colour combinations using a variety of glass materials, such as solid glass colours, frits, stringers and copper inclusions. This will give them the opportunity to produce some unique coasters/tiles, sun catchers, wind chimes and jewellery.
All work will be taken back to Natasha’s studio and fired and returned to the group again. All materials, safety wear and hand tools are supplied by the tutor. No previous experience is required.
