As autumn nights get darker, the Burnavon have a choice of nights out to brighten up the evenings and looking ahead to the end of the month and Christmas, their annual Winter Craft Fair is a highlight you don’t want to miss!
In association with the Tyrone Courier and the Burnavon, Ballet Ireland proudly presents their contemporary retelling of that classic star–crossed lover’s tale, Romeo & Juliet on Saturday 11th November. Against a backdrop of ancient feuds and gang warfare, the ill–fated young couple falls hopelessly in love, but their families are bitter enemies. In order to be together the two lovers must be prepared to risk everything. Tickets are £12 (£10 concession).
Desertcreat Women’s Institute with Kildress Amateur Dramatic Society presents Thomas James Takes A Wife, as part of an evening of song, dance and music with performances by Scottish and Irish dancers, local musicians and singers to entertain all. The variety performance is on Friday 17th November and tickets are £10.
Locally based Celtic rock band More Power To Your Elbow are marking twenty five years on the road and are making a stopover in Cookstown on Saturday 18th November. This extraordinary bunch of musicians have entertained audiences the world over with their lively energetic set of jigs, reels and songs. From France, Norway, Canada, Spain and the U.S.A, their unique brand of Celtic rock has enthralled thousands. Tickets are £15.
Winter Craft & Food Fair.
The Burnavon’s eagerly anticipated Winter Craft & Food Fair is back this year on the slightly later dates of Saturday 25th November (10am – 5pm) and Sunday 26th November (1pm – 5pm). With free admission and high–quality handmade crafts, food producers and makers, it’s the perfect place to pick up all your Christmas gifts.
Santa’s Magical Grotto.
Thinking ahead to Christmas, bookings now open at the Burnavon for Santa’s Magical Grotto (Thurs 7th – 20th December). Enjoy a special visit to Santa’s Magical Workshop where there will be an opportunity to write and post a letter to Santa, meet Santa and receive a special gift. Admission is £8 per child and booking at the Burnavon Box Office is essential.
