Creative Kids
Date: Friday 01 June – Saturday 30 June
Artists: Andrea Hayes and Louise Byrne with pupils from the Learning Support Centre in Cookstown Primary School.

As part of the Arts and Cultural Development Programme, within the Burnavon, artists Andrea Hayes and Louise Byrne have been working with pupils from the Learning Support Centre in Cookstown Primary School. All pupils have been hands on in creating many artworks including felt and clay. This collaboration of work will be exhibited in the Burnavon during June 2018 and then returning to the Learning Support Centre as a permanent piece for everyone to enjoy.

Cottage Crafts

Artist: Deborah Malcomson and residents from Drapersfield House

 
As part of the Arts and Cultural Development Programme, within the Burnavon, artist Deborah Malcomson is working with residents from Drapersfield House on an exciting creative project. All the residents have been hands on in creating many artworks from weaving and candle making to felt art. This collaboration of work will be exhibited in the Burnavon during July 2018 and then returning to Drapersfield House as a permanent piece for everyone to enjoy.

Abandoned NI brings you an exhibition with a presentation opening night telling you the history of a Cookstown cottage that spans back to the late 1800’s. The history of who lived in the cottage will be brought back to life through the photographic images and historical installation pieces from the home. If you are a fan of social hidden history this is one not to be missed!
