Returning to The Burnavon Safely

We are delighted to welcome you back to the Burnavon. Please note that due to covid, there will be some changes to your visit. We will continue to operate in line with the most up to date regulations set by the NI Executive. With this in mind, please read the following information carefully and share it with all other members of your party. If you booked tickets to attend a performance or on behalf of someone else, please forward this information to them.

Covid Status Check

As you will have seen recently, governmental regulations are changing for venues including The Burnavon for attending a performance.

It will be necessary for anyone aged 18+ attending a performance at The Burnavon to provide one of the following:

Proof of full vaccination, with the second dose having been given at least 14 days before attending. Acceptable forms of proof include COVIDCert NI certificates (travel certificate must be accompanied by valid Government Issued Photo ID), Covid immunisation record cards and valid Government issued Photo ID), and any official documentation from outside Northern Ireland such as the EU Digital Covid Certificate or the NHS Covid Pass.

OR Proof of a negative Lateral Flow Test taken the day of, or the day before attending. This will be in the form of an official SMS message which you will receive after completing and registering your Lateral Flow Test result at

OR Proof of natural immunity shown by a positive PCR test result for Covid issued between 30 and 180 days earlier. Any self-isolation period must have elapsed before coming to The Burnavon.

If you live in the Republic of Ireland, you can demonstrate your COVID-19 status using the EU Digital COVID Certificate (DCC):

How to upload a lateral flow test

If you are demonstrating your COVID-19 Status using an NHS Lateral Flow Test this should be taken the day of, or the day before attending the event you are attending. You can order NHS Lateral Flow Tests at .

Once you have taken your test, you will need to report your result on the NHS website at You will receive a text or email notification confirming your negative test result, to present on entry.

A positive result from an NHS Lateral Flow Test means it’s likely you had coronavirus when the test was done. You and anyone you live with must not attend the venue and self-isolate immediately. You are then advised to get a PCR test to confirm your result as soon as possible.

For those who are not vaccinated, the process for people to apply for a Covid exemption certificate on medical grounds has now been published at Coronavirus (COVID-19): apply for a COVID exemption certificate | nidirect.

We would ask that you have this information ready on arrival at The Burnavon.
Unfortunately failure to supply one of the required proof of entry documentations will result in no entry to the performance at The Burnavon.

Please note that if you or a member of your party are displaying Covid symptoms or are required to self-isolate, you must not come to The Burnavon.
All tickets in your booking will be exchanged or a credit note given, as long as you let us know before 11am on the day of the performance.

Contact Tracing

All tickets must be booked in advance. Please ensure that up to date contact information is provided at the time of booking to support contact tracing should we be required to contact you or provide information to the Public Health Agency on request.

Covid Safety Measures

The safety of our staff and patrons is our number one priority. We have put in place the following measures to reduce the risk of Covid transmission once inside The Burnavon:
  • The wearing of face coverings is required in all parts of The Burnavon unless you are eating, drinking or exempt.
  • You will be asked to sanitise your hands on arrival, hand sanitisers are available throughout the venue
  • Contactless payment is available
  • Enhanced cleaning of The Burnavon between performances.

Food & Drink

In line with our Covid 19 safety measures we encourage all patrons to pre- order an interval drink when they
arrive. Each pre order will be assigned a table and Burnavon staff will direct patrons to their table during the
interval. Please note tables are limited so we recommend you get here early to secure your pre- order and your table.

We keep our Covid – secure measures under regular review and will update our procedures in line with any new government guidance or requirements.

We look forward to welcoming you back and hope you enjoy your visit.
