King's Coronation Poetry Competition


To mark the Coronation of King Charles III on Saturday 6th May, Mid Ulster District Council invited primary seven children from across the district to engage in a poetry competition. A judging panel assessed the entries, and the winning classes received a £150 book voucher for their school.

Congratulations to Woods Primary school, Magherafelt and Ampertaine Primary School, Upperlands on winning the Burnavon Arts & Cultural Centre King's Coronation Poetry Competition.

Christine Mc Gowan, Mid Ulster District Council Development Officer facilitated the competition. Maura Johnston accomplished local writer and poet presented the prizes to the deserving winners.
