The Sensory Skills Arts Programme offers the opportunity for eight special schools / units across the district to develop young people’s sensory skills through the arts. The music therapist, Aine Mohoric delivered the programme where participants were offered opportunities, in each lesson, to play a variety of percussion instruments.The programme aims to promote equality of opportunity, to empower, enhance and enrich the quality of the lives of the participants, with special educational needs, through creative sensory experience. An exhibition to showcase the student’s work, was on display in the exhibition space (first floor) of The Burnavon Theatre throughout the month of April 2025.
