St Brigid’s Cross Making

Suitable for adults and children from aged 6.

Get ready for St Brigid’s Day by making your own decorative cross for your home. These ‘drop in’ workshops will be led by renowned willow weaver Louise McLean who will match the task to the participant. Young children can create a simple piece, while adults can try their hand at something more ambitious.

Come by yourself or book your session with family and friends.

Another series of our very popular jive classes! Specialising in country jiving, week by week Tina will get you ready for the dance floor. First– timers will be shown the basics, while the more experienced can learn more steps and moves. So it really doesn’t matter if you have
joined us before. This is the current dance trend and a fun way to keep fit – so book your
place early to avoid disappointment!

We are delighted to present a series of our very popular painting workshops aimed
primarily at beginners where you are taken step by step through the process of
producing your own watercolours.

These classes are a great way to take time out, relax and explore your creative side.
Under the expert guidance of tutor George Gourley who has extensive experience of
working with all levels of ability, you will be amazed at the progress you make and
the brilliant artwork you can produce.

Embroidery Hoop Art

Date: Tues 14, 21, 28 February and 7, 14, 21 March

Time: 7pm – 9pm

Suitable for age 16y+

Something a little different in textiles this time round. This course will cover methods such as silk painting, applique, image transfer and hand stitching to create an artwork which is then finished and stretched on the hoop to hang. You will also be shown how to apply your newly acquired skills to decorate a fabric bag, creating a piece as individual as you are.

Furniture Upcycling

Furniture Upcycling

Date: Sat 18th February

Time: 10am – 4pm

Cost: £50 including furniture and materials

Suitable for age 16y+

Give a small piece of furniture a brand new look in just a day! Learn how to make your own chalk paint and take on a number of creative techniques including decoupage,
stencilling and upholstering a seat pad. Experiment with your new found skills and techniques on your chosen piece to create a totally unique look, and preserve your
work with a final protective coat of wax or varnish.

A selection of suitable small items of furniture such occasional tables, chairs, plant stands will be provided for participants to choose from – this and all materials are included in the cost of the workshop.

Floral Art

A series of recreational flower arranging classes scheduled to take in both Mother’s Day and Easter.

Through this exciting course you will learn flower arranging techniques with expert florist Sinead Goodwin. The workshops are equally suited to both beginners and the more advanced flower arranger, with a finished arrangement made each of the 4

Please note flowers and sundries will be supplied each night at an extra cost of between £10 to £18, depending on the arrangement being made.


After School Crafts

Suitable for 7y+

Through this course kids will be given a top–notch opportunity to explore a wide range of craft techniques and produce brilliant results in the process. Mosaics, woodcraft, decoupage, candle making, tie dye and papercraft will all be covered and with Mother’s
Day and Easter coinciding with the workshops, you can expect to see some special themed gifts making their way home.

Artfunkle – Mother’s Day

Suitable for 7y+

Kids are invited to join in a fun filled session painting a special canvas for Mother’s Day. There is no need to worry about spills or splashes and all materials are supplied. Paintings are completed in one session so artwork can be taken home on the day and displayed with pride.

Create your own comic book story! Learn the tricks of the trade in the comic industry and
create your own comic book story in this hands–on course. Develop your art and drawing
skills, create your own characters, write your own story and design your own finished comic book page. Whether you’re a budding comic book reader or a first–timer, anyone can have a go!
