Because we believe getting people involved in the Arts at a young age is so important, we put great emphasis on working in partnership with our local schools.
Our most enduring and successful project within schools so far has to be the Traditional Music in Schools project, with over 200 primary school children receiving weekly tuition in tin whistle, flute, mandolin and guitar. You can look forward to seeing and hearing from all the children involved in the project, when they give a special Mother’s Day performance outside the Burnavon on Saturday 29th March.
Pupils from Holy Trinity College have just completed their entries for this year’s Junk Kouture contest which feature stunning fashion created entirely from waste materials.
Too good to keep under wraps, their amazing creations will be showcased at the Burnavon from 1st to 30th April.
